About EHSAN

EHSAN is a non- profit, non-governmental, and professionally-oriented umbrella organization for all scientists, including academics, researchers and industrialists in the field of Environmental Health. It is an organization committed to being a world-class organization leading the drive to ensure a healthy Nigerian society through effective and efficient environmental health management.

EHSAN was established on June 5, 1995, by a group of six graduate students in the pioneer class of Master of Public Health (Environmental Health) programme in the then Department of Preventive and Social Medicine, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. The Association has members across the country and currently has a student wing known as the Environmental Health Students’ Association. EHSAN is duly registered with Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission with registration number CAC/IT/NO 81569 and an academic member of the International Federation of Environmental Health (IFEH) based in the UK.
